Nazywam się Bernard Naghi, mam 23 lata. Jestem obecnie na ostatnim roku studiów magisterskich na Uniwersytecie Sztuki i Projektowania, na wydziale fotografii w Cluj-Napoca w Rumunii. 8 lat temu zacząłem robić moje pierwsze fotografie, oczywiście w dziedzinie fotografii cyfrowej, ponieważ fotografia była zupełnie nowym sposobem wyrażania moich pomysłów i wizji. Ale po pewnym czasie znudziłem się cyfrowym medium i postanowiłem podróżować w czasie, cieszyć się misterium i całym procesem tworzenia obrazów analogowych. Prawdziwą fotografią dla mnie jest fotografia analogowa, ponieważ polega ona na pewnym rytuale, począwszy od wstawiania filmu do aparatu, w celu skanowania / powiększania negatywów. Przez większość mojego głównego formatu jest średni format z moimi Mamiya C33 i Rolleiflex SLX, a także mały format z moimi aparatami Praktica, ale aparat nie jest ważnym czynnikiem moim zdaniem, biologiczne oko za soczewką tworzy zdjęcie, a nie Sama kamera. Chcę też wspomnieć, że niedawno zrobiłem pierwsze kroki w fotografii collodion, która ponownie jest złożonym procesem, ale w końcu satysfakcją. Ta wystawa będzie miała tytuł Complementaris, dotyczy serii analogowych zdjęć o kobiecej sylwetce, w kontraście do owoców. Owoce już od początku historii sztuki były wykorzystywane w obrazach ponieważ posiadają przeróżną symbolikę. Niektóre prace mogą być postrzegane jako erotyczne, ze względu na symbolikę owoców i jej wykorzystanie.
My name is Bernard Naghi I am 23 years old , becoming 24 this year in July , I am currently a masters student at the University of Arts and Design , department of photography in Cluj-Napoca,Romania but this is my final year so I June I will get a masters diploma. I started taking my first photographs 8 years ago , of course on digital because photography was a total new way to express my ideas and visions.
But after a considerable time , I got bored by the digital medium and decided to travel in time and enjoy the mistery and the whole process creating analog images. The real photography for me is the analog photography because it consists in a sort of a ritual , from the film insertion in to the camera to scanning/enlarging the negatives.
Most of the time my main format is medium format with my Mamiya C33 and Rolleiflex SLX , and also small format with my praktica cameras , but the camera is not an important factor in my opinion , the biological eye behind the lens creates the photograph not the camera itself. I also want to mention that not long ago I took my first steps in collodion photography wich again is a complex process but very rewarding in the end.
This exhibition will be entitled Complementaris , is about a series of analog photographs about the female body in a contrast with fruits , fruits know best for their simbolistics from the beginning of art history mostly in paintings. Some works may have a little erotic feeling , because of the simbolisticics of the fruit and the use of it.
